Welcomes Bianca A. Vitale, Esq. as Firm’s Newest Director of Government Relations Former Principal Liaison to Mayor Eric Adams’ Office of Intergovernmental Affairs
Jan 31, 2023- NEW YORK, NY- Manhattan-based government relations firm, Gerstman PLLC, is proud to announce the expansion of its team with the addition of its new Director of Government Relations Bianca A. Vitale, Esq.
Bianca is a licensed attorney in New York and New Jersey with a distinguished background in city, state, and federal legislative affairs. With more than a decade of experience in public service, she has built a career advocating for policies and programs that protect and improve the lives of everyday New Yorkers.
Bianca served multiple years as a Legislative Attorney for the New York City Council. During her tenure, she served as Legislative Counsel to the 2019 New York City Charter Revision Commission. In this role, she helped develop ballot proposals which established ranked choice voting in city wide elections as well as local laws to improve police accountability. While assigned to the Council’s Bill Drafting Division, Bianca worked closely with the Council’s 51 members to develop and draft local legislation on a wide range of subjects including bills to address small business concerns and public health and safety issues caused by the COVID-19 global pandemic. Bianca also has experience serving as the Legislative Counsel to the New York City Council’s Committee on Civil Service and Labor and the Committee on Veterans from 2020-2022.
Prior to joining Gerstman PLLC, Bianca most recently worked as an Agency Attorney at the New York City Department of Veterans’ Services acting as the agency’s principal liaison to the Mayor’s Office of Intergovernmental Affairs. In this role, Vitale provided advice and guidance to the agency’s commissioner and executive leadership as it related to the management of interagency partnerships, preparation for oversight hearings, and legislative priorities.
